November 15th

Carolina’s Notes
I got up later than Tony because I wasn’t sure what we were going to do today so I didn’t rush. My thoughts gravitated toward NO Cable TV to watch NFL. Yes, I have to shamefully admit I was a little depressed. This would have been the perfect opportunity for me to watch NFL while Tony searched for short-term contracts. The Carefree Manor RV Resort Clubhouse just isn’t comfortable enough to watch NFL despite having the big screen TV with Cable TV reception. I’ll deal with my shame and disappointment. I did finally awake, shower and dress while Tony drove around the neighborhood getting familiar with these surroundings.

He got home and then we took off to Starbucks and to shop a little. I wanted to window shop and he was willing. I purchased items that were NOT necessities but I will utilize these items. Thanks Tony for being a good sport! The weather is cool but nice and we plan on bicycling around the campground. We got home so I could complete some computer work and give us a chance to eat lunch at home. The bicycling will come after our lunch has settled a bit. I want, need and miss exercising so a bike ride is just the ticket.

We went for our short bike ride and enjoyed it. When we arrived home Tony wanted to drive through downtown Phoenix to see what it was like. I was glad we did because traffic was light, which gave us a chance to see the buildings instead being focused on city traffic. On the way back to Harry (RV), we stopped and ate pizza; this stop gave me an opportunity to watch some NFL. It just so happened that the game playing was the Arizona Cardinal versus Seattle Seahawks. We got home and relaxed until time for bed.

Tony’s Notes
Today was kind of a laid back day. However, driving into downtown Phoenix was just something I wanted to do to satisfy my need to see more than desert and RV’s, and to get an idea of the business and industry of the area. Now that I need to dedicate more time to searching for short term work, I wanted to get the lay of the land.

We stopped at a place called Barro’s Pizza. It was excellent pie, and we drank water with it. So, that was good being that I was still healing from the margaritas the night before.
