November 2nd - Sky Valley RV Resort

Carolina’s Notes
I woke up and anticipated sipping coffee and leisurely waking up but Tony wanted to dash off to Panera Bread. We are technology challenged and he needs to contact folks for work. So I washed up and put my face on and went to Panera. We just don’t get the service and quality like at our home Panera Bread; other locations just don’t have that nack. Anyway we did what we had to do.

On the way home to Harry (RV), we stopped and picked up some groceries. Our plan is to eat our own food while we are hooked up for the week at Sky Valley Resort. When we got home Tony made lunch then washed the RV’s roof. I wasn’t that ambitious so I relaxed. Honestly, it felt great just relaxing while Tony did his thing. I watched the World Series then after the game Tony and I ventured to the pool area. We soaked in the pool and mineral hot tub. Night had fallen so we gazed at the moon and the stars. My mind was full of thoughts that I was grateful for everything in my life. I felt like I was in a scene right out of a movie. We came back home and continued relaxing until bed. It was a great day! I realize we didn’t sight see but we enjoyed what we did.

Tony’s Notes
Being a Monday, I was anxious to see if any of the recruiters in the San Francisco or Houston areas would call me. I had submitted applications for several six-month projects in those geographic locations, but they all wanted local candidates only. I am trying to get them to consider me a local candidate.

Anyway, back at the resort we are staying for the week, we do not get a cell phone signal. No Cell phone signal will make it difficult to Job Search; however, it is perfect for a sabbatical. This resort has nine pools heated by natural hot springs and the most beautiful palm trees that I have ever seen surround them. They also have a fitness center, and we plan to use it.

I was glad that the Resort allowed me to Wash the RV, I washed the roof and will plan to wash the rest tomorrow. Having a clean RV will allow me to do the calking maintenance in a warm climate to avoid water leaks and water damage.

Soaking in the hot pool and watching the moon and the stars, I realized that we are in a desert paradise.
