Tony’s Notes
We had a great breakfast hosted by the RV resort activities committee. We are kids compared to all of the senior citizens filling up this RV Park. It is snowbird season; they laugh seeing me in a t-shirt and shorts, while they all are wearing sweaters.
We were up to eat early, so it helped get us packed up and on the road early, as well. We drove 400 miles today, and it is the most miles in one day since we headed out on the road over 87 days ago. Typically, I do not want to drive that many miles; however, we need to make time through New Mexico and West Texas. Plus, I figured, if I am sleeping in a truck stop, I better drive until it is late because it is not like I would want to get there early to hang out.
Carolina’s Notes
I woke up and threw on clothes so we could partake in the breakfast social hosted by Carefree Manor RV Resort. We ate and got ready for the road. We aren’t sure how far we are going to travel. Tony originally planned on Tucson, AZ but may travel farther. He eventually wants to land in Texas to pursue more contract work. I’m planning on starting my journey sitting in the passenger seat but if things change then I’ll move to the kitchen. The weather is gorgeous so that helps to promote a smooth running travel day.
I had a TERRIFIC travel day!! The terrain was flat and the weather stayed gorgeous as well as we ate our own food. I was able to ride shotgun the whole trip. We traveled a little over 400 miles today. It was a terrific ride. We drove and drove; we traveled through Arizona right on by New Mexico into Texas. We bunked at a Flying J’s in Anthony, TX; it was coincidence but cool. We ate our own food in Harry (RV) and settled down for the night. I was SO grateful to eat my own food today. I went to bed safe and grateful. I can’t ask for anything else.
