Spetember 30th - Leaving Seattle area

Carolina’s Notes
We got up and got ready to leave from ’Trailer Inns R.V. Park’ in Seattle/Bellevue Park. While in Seattle, we visited their aquarium like I wanted but most of the sights that Tony was interested in seeing we didn’t experience. Many of the days spent here we hung out in Harry and the day trips we took didn’t provide the avenue to hop a ferry and visit the islands in Puget Sound. We also had many mornings when we didn’t get up early and get moving.

Anyway, we got packed up and left at 11:00 a.m. Tony was feeling his Vertigo a little bit but he continued. The traveling today has been a little unnerving for me but I was able to maintain myself from getting too hyper. I didn’t click any pictures while on the road today so I could maintain my composure. The drive was a bit upsetting for Tony as well because things didn’t flow as well as previous driving tours. All in all we rolled with the hiccups and made it safely to our next destination. Getting to each destination is the most important thing.

We are hooked up at ‘The Dunes Resort’ in Copalis Beach, Washington. Tony wants to visit Olympic National Park. He wants to see the rain forest but according to the map there are several. The ones listed are Hoh Rain Forest, Queets Rain Forest, and Quinault Rain Forest but I haven’t researched Olympic National Park so I’m not sure how many it contains. This go around I want Tony to be able to experience all the sights and sounds he wants. I feel very badly because he didn’t get to see enough of Puget Sound. I’m going to try to maintain Zen while we are touring these new environments at least for us. I owe him that much.

The weather is cool and cloudy most definitely feels like Fall. We are right at the Pacific Ocean so I do hope we manage to encounter some sunny warmer days. We have looked forward to this for quite sometime. I especially do not want Tony disappointed. Well what ever happens we’ll make the best of it.

We took a walk along the Pacific Ocean before dinner. The weather is crummy because of a Tsunami in the America Samoa’s. Tony and I didn’t stay out for long. We got back and I flipped through cable channels and found a Detroit Tiger Game to watch…Yahoo!! Tigers won which was icing on the cake. Tony and I stayed in so I could watch baseball and because it was raining. After the baseball game, we watched a show about America’s National Parks on Public Television. Public Television is a great avenue that is grossly over looked. Public T.V. produces some wonderful programs that don’t involve negativity. Anyway, I fell asleep but it was a very good program. It was cool because of the sights and sounds Tony & I have experienced were right on TV and I knew exactly what they meant. It was a terrific feeling. Tony took me to bed and all I could hear was the rain but I slept anyway. Tony remarked that he was happy not to hear cars and highway sounds.

Tony’s Notes
It wasn’t too bad driving today. We just headed for the coast. We found an RV Park right on the coast. We could see the ocean from our windows, and it was a Passport America Park. So, I had Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Water, Electric, and Sewer; full hook up site for $14 per night. I could not complain. It was a great spot but still a little bit of a distance to the National Park entrance. It was an old PV Park, most of the RV’s there were very old, and I could tell that some people lived in there. However, for the most part, we had the place to ourselves. Carolina is correct; it was great to only hear the ocean at night. I was quite pleased that the Detroit Tigers were on TV because Carolina had been disappointed that she had been missing her sports.
